Whew! I just spent all day setting up my new website (backend membership type thing) and a sales page for my upcoming product launch. I love this part – I’ve always enjoyed the tech-side of setting up my sites and how it all links to Warrior+Plus etc.
My KDP business took a back seat the last few days while I took a break. I was obsessing over the stats and constantly checking my KDP dashboard. It’s really hard to avoid that when you’re first starting out.
I need to re-check my yearly schedule to make sure I’m still on track. I’m pretty sure I am. I just need to plan a bit further ahead – I caught up with myself if that makes sense!
It’s so hard working around my babies. Our 2 and a half year old is really struggling at the moment with her emotions and can spend most of a day whining or having a complete meltdown over literally nothing. Ah the “terrible twos”.
Our 3 month old son is a breeze but some days he spends almost all day wanting boob so I literally have to rest the feeding pillow on my desk and reach over him to type/use the mouse. It can be exhausting trying to fit it all in and not feel like I’m neglecting my babies.
It’s 1am here and I’m absolutely knackered but it’s literally the only time I get to myself. It’s quiet. Everyone is either asleep or downstairs (by everyone I mean my babies and my fiance!). I get to chill out with my new PC and watch Gothalion on Mixer.
My New Cyberpower PC
My new PC – I’m so in love with it. The tech side of things is one of the things I love in this business but it’s not at all fun when you’re using a PC from the dark ages. My old PC was about 7+ years old and I desperately needed to upgrade. So I did.
I treated myself to a Cyberpower Systems PC with a 9th gen i5, 16GB RAM (super important for Adobe Creative Suite!), a 240 SSD and a 1TB HDD. It also has an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 graphics card so I can play my favourite game Destiny 2. I’ll probably dabble in some other games too – I’m a Xbox gamer usually but now I have a PC I think I’m converted!
Anyway, I’m going to spend the next hour or so planning my next few weeks for KDP. I need to get more books out. I have 4 waiting “In Review” so I need to get cracking with some new books.
